France!

I'm so excited to share my pictures from my recent trip to France!! I hardly have any pictures of me and my husband, and instead felt like I was on a class trip in high school and just took pictures of everything I saw!

After looking through all of my images, I've come to find out I must have a small obsession with doors and windows...at least 1/3 of all images is an opening of some sort!!

These first few are from Annecy. GORGEOUS!!! If I had to pick a place in France to live, it'd be there. Ok, so I've only been to three places in France...but I just loved this little city!!

Annecy city is right up on Lake Annecy, which is right in the middle of the French Alps. Part of the canals from the lake run through the old parts of the city.

The building below is an old prison in Annecy. We went inside, but the best pictures were from the outside. I'm a sucker for buildings on water. Next trip: Amsterdam.

And yes, I have 3 versions of this building, as it is THE picture to get in Annecy (or so I noticed from all tour books and postcards :))

The next city we went to was Beaune (THANK YOU to Kate and Tim for suggesting this city!!). It is right in the Burgundy wine region in France, and is known for all of it's wine cellars (dungeons!!) for tastings and tours.

This cave was the most beautiful of all that we visited.

Most of the tours were set up so that you are on your own, with a little metal cup, and you walk through the dungeon and find these barrels with wine on them for the tasting. Scary? Yes. Awesome? Yes!

After leaving Beaune and on our way to Paris, we stopped at a little village called Chateauneuf en Auxois. It's small town with a big castle in front, built in the 1100's!! Very interesting to see!

And finally, Paris. Not too many pictures there, but I got the Eiffel tower, of course!

Hope you enjoy the pictures!!
