Franklin's 2nd Birthday!

Our puppy was born 2 years ago today! Or actually yesterday, since I'm writing this post so late at night. Seems like just yesterday we were dying to bring him home from the breeders :)

So I just found out that some friends are engaged, and also that they'd like to see Frankie pics :) So Rich and Jenny, this post is for you! Congratulations!!!

Also, I never posted pics of Frankie on his b-day. One week from today, we'll have had him for a whole year!!

Franklin's has a friend named Bear!  She's also a Havanese, and sort of related :)  Their first meeting was a little funny, but during this one they played for hours!

I have been ordered to post pics of Franklin. It's funny...now that we finally have him at home and I see him all the time, I'm not obsessing over showing everyone the cute pictures! that's right.  squrt without the i.  he's small, cute, a little feisty, and it's also nerdy, for jeremy.  (square route...get it?)  it's his nickname.  can't imagine opening the backdoor and calling for "SQURRRRRRT".  i think we'll keep his name as dustin, it's cute!

Puppy is 4 Weeks Old!

UPDATE: I don't think I like Leonard as much as Franklin.  Anyway, the little guy on the left is most likely gonna be our lil baby.  Our breeder told the cutest story of him - he sat up (picture a super tiny puppy sitting...) he barked, and he scared the crap out of himself for making such a noise, and fell over.  SO CUTE!

With a nickname of Lenny?  (Or Spock, as my dad would like...)  We're still trying to think of good names for our future puppy.  I'm still stuck on Franklin, or Peanut.  Leonard is ok, Jeremy likes that one.  Any ideas would be appreciated!  

Anyway, this past weekend we got the chance to see Dustin (as he is named right now...what do you think of that one??) at TWO WEEKS old!!!  They are still SO TINY.  Their eyes are open, and actually Dustin opened his first.  He seems to be the smallest of the 4 puppies, still not weighing a pound yet.  We don't know for sure that we will be getting Dustin, and not one of the other puppies, but when I saw him in the pictures, he was my favorite, and when I told our breeder that, she said she had already been thinking of him for us!  It's fate :)  I didn't have my camera, only my iphone...so the pictures are not so great.  Of course though, I will post them!!

This is Dustin.  He's mostly black with a little white on his head, and his feet and tail tip are white.  He looks like his mommy, which is awesome.  We can't wait to bring him home!!! 

Here they are, little cuddle-bugs.  They kept slowly moving closer and closer to each other.  And then the little guy in the corner rolled on his back!

A new member of our family!!

Our future puppy was born yesterday!  They're all only SIX OUNCES.  So adorable.  I love their little pink feet and noses!  There are 3 boys and one girl, so we're probably going to get a boy.  We like the name Howard.  Howie for short ;)  hahahaha.  

The breed is Havanese, and they get to be about 10 pounds, pretty small.
